On Wednesday, Apple released iOS 18.2, a new update that brings even more features to the iPhone. While the features are numerous, Apple has chosen to highlight one specific new one in a video.
Apple has teamed up with Michael Buble, Carly Pearce, and Greg Wells to showcase the new layered Voice Memos feature used to record the vocal tracks for their new song “Maybe This Christmas.” In the behind-the-scenes video, the artists share their inspiration and how they utilized the iPhone 16 Pro and Voice Memos app to make their song a reality.

While the main focus of software updates is on the latest generations, Apple does regularly release updates affecting older, less-used operating system releases. Along with the updates for macOS Sequoia 15.2 and iPadOS 18.2, Apple has brought out three other updates.
Two of the updates are for older versions of macOS, with macOS Ventura being updated to version 13.7.2, build number 22H313. There’s also macOS Sonoma’s update to 14.7.2, build number 23H311.

As expected, the beta builds of watchOS 11.2 didn’t have any significant new features, suggesting that the updates concentrate on improving stability and performance. This kind of update is essential for maintaining the smooth functioning of devices and ensuring that new features introduced in previous versions still work as intended.
In mid-September, Apple unveiled watchOS 11, introducing several notable enhancements to its flagship wearable device. Among these features are customizable Activity Rings, advanced health monitoring capabilities through the Vitals app, and a new Training Load tool specifically designed for athletes.

Following months of beta testing, visionOS 2.2, build number 22N842, is now the official current release and is rolling out worldwide. While not as marked a release for new features as visionOS 2 in September 2024, it brings more than the stability and bug fixes of visionOS 2.1.
Specifically, users who connect a Mac to Apple Vision Pro can now opt to have the virtual display be wider than before. The Mac can now appear within Apple Vision Pro as a widescreen monitor, the equivalent of two 4K displays side by side.

Apple has collaborated with “Peanuts” in the past, releasing multiple specials on Apple TV+ over the years. Apple Watch users have been able to use watch faces featuring Snoopy.

Apple’s last major update to iOS 18 was in late October, introducing the first wave of Apple Intelligence features. Its second major update pushes the generative AI agenda further forward, by adding more features.
The release build of iOS 18.2 is build number 22C152.
After months of beta tests, macOS Sequoia 15.2 is now rolling out worldwide. It’s the new current version of the Mac’s operating system and will come preinstalled on all new Macs.
It’s a much more significant release than its single-digit point update from 15.1 to 15.2 would appear. Unlike most years when such an update is chiefly a bug fix or might introduce one new feature like Freeform, macOS 15.2 is instead the next step in Apple Intelligence.
