Apple has released a new developer beta firmware for AirPods Pro 2, in preparation for the public release of iOS 18.1 in October.
Apple has released a new developer beta for its AirPods Pro 2 software.The company provides developer betas for nearly all of its platforms, including AirPods. While beta updates for Apple’s mobile and desktop operating systems are released much more frequently, developers still rely on beta software for AirPods to test new features.
Tuesday’s developer beta brings the AirPods Pro 2 software to build number 7B5013d, up from 7B5013c. This beta is only compatible with AirPods Pro 2, both the USB-C and Lightning versions, and is thus not available for AirPods Max or other non-H2 devices.

Seventh macOS 15.1 developer beta has finally arrived
Arriving one day after the rest of the operating systems, Apple’s seventh developer beta of macOS Sequoia 15.1 has finally become available for testing.
macOS Sequoia 15 on a MacBook ProOn Monday, Apple released a new batch of developer betas for testers to try out, including iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 with Apple Intelligence. Though macOS was the only one missing from the group, it has arrived one day later.
The seventh developer beta of macOS Sequoia 15.1 arrives after the sixth, which landed on October 7.
