Amazon’s Fallout TV show will emerge from its vault in mid-April – here’s what we know so far.

Apple’s supply chain checks show there are fewer cuts to orders than they expected at this time of year, with Dan Ives of Wedbush Securities saying that because of it, Apple will have a tremendous year.

On February 4, Wedbush released a note to investors claiming there were signs of a possible “product renaissance” for Apple. In a TV appearance on Monday, Wedbush managing director Dan Ives continued to press forward on that idea.

Initially discussing supply chain checks and if Apple’s China business is stabilizing or growing, Ives said on CNBC Squawk on the Street that the accuracy of the checks have become “more accurate than not,” at least in relation to demand.

The European Union has accepted Apple’s argument that iMessage isn’t used enough to require that it be interoperable with third-party messaging services.

In 2022, the EU passed its Digital Markets Act, which sets certain constraints on what it defines as “gatekeeper” keeper services. These included App Store and also messaging services, and initially Apple confirmed that its iMessage qualified for the EU’s definition.

Apple later walked that back, however, and argued that iMessage specifically in Europe was too little used to meet the EU’s threshold for gatekeeper status. In September 2023, both Apple’s iMessage and Microsoft’s Bing were given a reprieve while the firms’ arguments were heard.

A former Apple executive linked to the Apple Car has joined General Motors Cruise, becoming the chief of its self-driving taxi unit.

Steve Kenner became the chief of safety at the GM autonomous vehicle unit on Monday, the company announced. The move makes Kenner the head of all safety at the self-driving vehicle arm of the motor company.

This is not Kenner’s first safety role, as he has previously worked in the same field elsewhere. The most previous position he was in was as the vice president of safety at Kodiak, the self-driving truck company.

Exercise firm Peloton has told its users that will no longer support Apple’s GymKit health data sharing service on Apple Watch, and instead will move them to its own app.

In 2020, Peloton announced its then-new Bike+ would pair with the Apple Watch using Apple’s GymKit platform. GymKit lets an Apple Watch gather health data from exercise machines, specifically cardio equipment.

Peloton also included it in its Bike Bootcamp, but that combined cardio with strength exercises. Later in 2021, Peloton removed GymKit support from Bike Bootcamp, saying Apple required it to.
