As Apple Vision Pro arrives in people’s hands after a decade or more of rumors and anticipation, two of the people behind it have been discussing its aims, and its journey to reality.
“We had the feeling that this could be great, but we had no idea how to achieve it,” Richard Howarth, Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple, told Wallpaper magazine. “Many of the problems we were trying to solve were huge, seemingly unsolvable and required entirely new technical innovations.”
The AppleInsider staff scours the internet for top-notch deals at online stores to showcase a list of deep discounts on popular tech products, including discounts on Apple Watches, TVs, accessories, and other gadgets. We post our top finds daily to give you access to the best tech deals.

Initial demos are walk-in only and occur via a queue and first-come, first-served basis. Apple is opening up online reservations for in-store demos starting on February 5.
Anyone who’s heard about demos from the lucky few who tried Apple Vision Pro during WWDC should be familiar with the in-store demos already. An Apple Store employee walks you through the device and its features via a scripted session that takes about half an hour.

Users who have bought an iPhone and elected not to get AppleCare will know that the iOS Settings app prompts them about it. For a period after purchase, the buyer will keep seeing a red badge and the prompt to update the iPhone with AppleCare.
In the list of things we are only learning about Apple Vision Pro now that it is in users’ hands, there is the situation with AppleCare. As spotted by AppleInsider writer Wes Hilliard after picking up his Apple Vision Pro at Apple Downtown Nashville, AppleCare is handled differently for this device.
Following its “Hello” ad and then short teaser for the new Apple Vision Pro, and a guided tour, Apple has now released a series of setup videos for users. There’s also a brief new ad showing a man trying out Apple Vision Pro for the first time, while he’s completely ignored by a woman in the same room.
It was already known that Adobe Lightroom would be coming as a native Apple Vision Pro app from launch, but now Adobe says it is adding Firefly AI. This is a generative AI tool that produces images based on a user’s text descriptions.
As with the existing web-based version of Firefly AI, a user can describe what they want to see and the app will create four suggested images. What’s different with Apple Vision Pro is that users can then pluck the four images out of the app per se and drag them around the headset’s 3D environment.
