Investment firm Wedbush says it is sticking to its $250 Apple price target and that issues such as declining sales in China will be short term because of pent-up demand for the iPhone 16 range.

Wedbush first raised its Apple price target to $250 in December 2023, just ahead of the peak holiday season. The company described Apple then as resilient, and in March 2024 said it was keeping its price target despite recognizing that there were concerns over iPhone demand in China.
Now in a note to investors seen by AppleInsider, Wedbush has outlined further details of the decline, and also commented on Apple’s changing relationship with China. However, it remains bullish and says that this is because it believes that:

Following its outright purchase of Wistron’s iPhone plant in India’s southwestern state of Karnataka, the Tata Group is poised to take control of a similar facility now owned by Pegatron.
According to Reuters, Pegatron and the Indian conglomerate Tata are in advanced talks. If completed as expected, the Tata Group would control at least 65% of the plant near Chennai city in Tamil Nadu, around 180 miles to the east of the ex-Wistron facility.
Back in 2019, the family of Apple engineer Wei Lun Huang (aka Walter Huang) sued Tesla a year after he was killed when his Model X crashed while Autopilot was engaged. The automaker has settled the lawsuit — on the very day jury selection was supposed to take place. Tesla’s lawyers asked the court to seal the settlement agreement so the payout amount wouldn’t be made public.
Tesla confirmed shortly after the accident that Autopilot was on at the time of the crash, but it also insisted Huang had time to react and had an unobstructed view of the divider. In a statement to the press, the company insisted the driver was at fault, and the only way for the accident to have occurred was if Huang “was not paying attention to the road.”
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigation found Huang running a mobile game but couldn’t confirm if he was holding the phone during impact.
