The folks you’d expect to complain about radio frequency are at it again, but don’t listen to them — Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the Apple Vision Pro aren’t going to cook your brain.

We’ve said this before, over and over, time and again. Radio frequency (RF) radiation is not the same as ionizing radiation generated by decay of radioactive isotopes, and from the sun itself. In short, RF lacks the energy that ionizing radiation has to break chemical bonds, ionize atoms, and damage DNA.

We’re going to spell it out simply: Apple Vision Pro is not radioactive, nor is anything in it radiologically decaying in any meaningful way.

Text has long been customizable in Xcode when creating software for Apple’s platforms. Now, String catalogs make it even easier to localize your app to multiple languages.

Ever since macOS shipped in 2000 as Mac OS X, Apple’s development environments have allowed developers to easily localize text (strings) in their apps using two Apple technologies: language-specific bundles, and .strings files.

Localization is the process of translating app string files into multiple languages for use in many countries. Developers can decide which languages to localize Strings files into so that when an app runs, it automatically loads the correct .strings file for the current system language.

Apple is making it easier to keep spending Apple Cash online, with the iOS 17.4 beta allowing users to create a virtual card number.

Apple Cash, the prepaid debit card included as part of an Apple Card account, can usually be spent via Apple Pay just like other credit and debit cards. For online stores where Apple Card isn’t accepted, Apple is introducing a solution to the problem.

In Reddit posts spotted by 9to5Mac, the iOS 17.4 beta offers Apple Card customers a pop-up to “Set Up Virtual Card Number.” The pop-up says it will “Keep your card information safe with a new security code for every transaction.”
